Buses to replace trains

COMMUTERS heading between Caboolture and Gympie North will have to take buses this weekend.

The Caboolture line between Northgate and Caboolture stations and the Sunshine Coast line between Caboolture and Gympie North stations will be closed from the first train on today to the last train tomorrow.

Works being undertaken this weekend include Narangba train station upgrade works, overhead power line improvements, track work and maintenance at various locations.

TransLink spokesman Miguel Holland said buses would replace all inbound and outbound trains for customers between Northgate and Gympie North stations during the closure.

"People will still be able to get where they need to go but alternative services will be running," Mr Holland said.

"NightLink trains on the Caboolture line departing Roma St station will terminate at Northgate station with buses stopping all stations from Northgate to Caboolture."

Customers with a disability can phone 36065555 or SMS 0428774636 for assistance.

People should plan for the closures, normal train services will resume from first services on Monday, February 6.
