Bunnings gets the nod

BUNNINGS' $41 million Gympie warehouse is expected to get underway soon after development approval was granted by Gympie Regional Council yesterday.

A cafe and open display area were withdrawn by Bunnings because of a pending Planning and Environment Court ruling, but the rest of project was given the go-ahead so long as Bunnings agreed to put in 365 car parks - 59 more than originally planned - and to heavily landscape a section of the perimeter near a pensioner's house.
