Bundaberg visitor the one to watch at Gympie

BUNDABERG visitor, Gas Burner, may prove the one to beat in this afternoon's 1600m $22,000 Nolan Muster Cup on the strength of a recent Gympie second over 1470m.

Gas Burner ran on strongly on that occasion to get to within .4 length of winner Foregone and then ran second in the 1508m Gladstone Cup at his subsequent start.

A 3kg claim for apprentice, Corey Bayliss reduces his weight to only 52 kg.

In an open race, RSL Cup winner Foregone should be hard to beat with Tampere, if he starts, also a danger.

The Pat Duff-trained Fasta than Light races very well on the sand while Unique Fuse is likely to make a bold front running effort.

The Muster Cup is the final race on the card timed to start at 4.15pm.

Racing begins at 1.15pm with the 850m Class B. Recent Gympie maiden winners, Plain Truth and Recoleta should prove hard to beat with the promising Saurimo a chance first up as well as Mustola Gold.

Eidsvold-trained Tiverton, who won a feature race here last month over 1470m, could go on his winning way in the 1470m BM 55, the fourth on the card. Bundaberg-trained Come by Often and Isis Spinner look hardest to beat.
