Bruce Highway open, but traffic slow after crash

All northbound lanes of the Bruce Highway have reopened after an accident this morning.
Police warn there is still significant congestion in the area.
At around 10am this morning a van towing a caravan was travelling north on the Bruce Highway when it left the road and rolled into a flooded embankment connected to Six Mile Creek.
Emergency Crews extracted the driver from the vehicle before he was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital.
A 79-year-old man has been transported to hospital in a critical condition.
Northbound lanes of the Bruce Highway were affected for several hours while the vehicle and caravan were removed from the scene.
Clayton's Towing attended the scene to help with the clean up.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
TRAFFIC is still trickling through one lane of the Bruce Highway, northbound, after a car towing a caravan careened off the Bruce Highway and in to a ditch.
Emergency crews and tow truck operators are working to extract the crumpled car from the watery crash scene.
Police say the second northbound lane will be closed for at least an hour.
A 70-YEAR-OLD man has been taken to Royal Brisbane Hospital in a critical condition after his car towing a caravan rolled off the Bruce Highway and into a creek.
Firefighters clambered into the watery ditch to use hydraulic cutting equipment to free the man before he was transport to the Royal Brisbane Hospital.
One lane of the Bruce Highway is open northbound as emergency services work to clear the scene.

THE northbound lanes of the Bruce Highway are closed at Elimbah following a car rollover this morning.
Two people are believed to be involved in a car that rolled from the Bruce Highway into Six Mile Creek in Elimbah at 10am this morning.
The car that was towing a caravan was travelling northbound on the highway when it rolled down a gully.
Emergency services including ambulance, police and a forensic crash investigation unit are on scene.
One person has been given CPR on scene and transported to hospital.
The car is on its roof and a sift water rescue team is on scene to find the car and its occupants.
On-lookers have been helping at the scene.
