Breakfast lead for business

BUSINESS owners keen to be part of the Gympie contingent travelling to the Surat Basin Energy and Mining Expo in Toowoomba later this month are encouraged to attend the Gympie Chamber of Commerce networking breakfast on Wednesday morning.

The expo will be held on June 20-21.

And as a way to encourage local businesses to attend, the chamber will fund the full cost of the bus trip.

Guidance on how businesses need to prepare for the expo will be top of the agenda at tomorrow's meeting so that Gympie business people know what to expect when they get there and things they need to provide to prospective new customers.

The breakfast will start at 7am for 7.30am in the Orchid Room of the Gympie RSL.

The 2012 Surat Basin Energy and Mining Expo provides a unique platform to conduct face-to-face business between key decision makers and buyers from the growing Surat Basin with businesses providing products and services to the mining and energy industries.

Inquiries can contact Chamber of Commerce president Ben Ellingsen on 5370 2229.
