BMX club prepares for event

BMX riders from throughout south-east Queensland will converge on Gympie later this month when the Gympie BMX Club hosts its annual open day.

Club president Chris Rodighiero said there was plenty of incentive for riders to perform at their best.

“For the older riders we give prize money for placing,” he said. “Our sprocket riders (under eight) we give trophies and prizes in the way of show bags.”

Rodighiero said the club was appealing for assistance to help make the event a greater success this year. Anyone who is able to help can contact Chris Rodighiero on 0411 640 585.
