Bike ride for chemotherapy units

CANCER is one of the most difficult things anyone can be faced with in their life.

Leading the local fight against the disease is Supporting Chemotherapy in Cooloola (SCIC). The organisation is a support group offering strength and guidance to those undergoing chemotherapy treatment.

To help raise funds for a set of units in Gympie for patients of outlying areas receiving treatment, SCIC volunteer Colin Turner has organised a bike ride.

The SCIC Bendigo Bank 2010 Bike Ride will go from Murgon to Kin Kin and Turner wants 20 riders to take part to raise funds.

Pick up nomination or sponsorship forms from Pedal Power Plus or Gympie Berrings and keep reading The Gympie Times for more on this great initiative.
