SYDNEY FC defender Rhyan Grant says the signs are good at the club after the easy win over the Central Coast Mariners on Saturday night.
The Sky Blues had their second straight 4-0 success in the A-League this season to sit on top of the ladder on goal difference from Melbourne City.
Filip Holosko made it three goals in two games with a double against last season's wooden-spooners, with Brazilian Bobo and Alex Brosque also on target for the second week running.
Grant said despite the performance, there was room for improvement.
"I don't think it was our best performance but to still win pretty comfortably when you're not playing your best was a good sign,” right-back Grant said.
"It's early doors but we can be pretty happy with our start to the season.”
Sydney FC travels to Wellington next Sunday to face the Phoenix and will do so with coach Graham Arnold also boasting there is more to come from his team.
After the first two games with four goals in each and no replies, that has to be an ominous sign for the rest of the competition.
