Heart of Gold comedy night

GYMPIE’S Heart of Gold Film Festival is giving movie buffs another chance to see the best of the festival’s short comedy films.

Heart of Gold spokesperson Claudia Granshaw said due to popular demand "the Heart of Gold International Film Festival Board is excited to announce a short film program encompassing some of the Festival’s most popular comedy films from the past four years".

It will be shown next Friday, October 22 at the Gympie Civic Centre.

“Some of our most requested and loved comedy shorts will be shown,” Mrs Granshaw said.

“The board anticipates it will be a fun, enjoyable and light-hearted film program for our many sponsors and patrons.

“We invite everyone to join us next Friday night,” she said.

The bar at the Civic Centre will open at 6.30pm with the curtains set to open at 7.30pm sharp.

Drinks and a mini-café will be available throughout the evening and during a short interval.

Tickets are only $15 a head and can be purchased from either Kingston’s Office Equipment in Mary Street, or the offices of Shine Lawyers on the Bruce Highway, or at the door on the night.

Mrs Granshaw said a new Heart of Gold DVD will be will be released shortly and can also be ordered on the night

“It promises to be a very exciting and enjoyable milestone for the film festival.
