Bay police will nominate Adam for bravery award

TIN Can Bay police say they will back a bravery award for hero Adam Whitehouse, who saved a child from drowning at Norman Point on Sunday.

Mr Whitehouse's boss, John Edwards said his loyal worker would do anything for others and was that sort of person.

Tin Can Bay police officer-in-charge Darren Grieve agreed, saying he would consider nominating Mr Whitehouse for an award.

"He definitely deserves one,” Sgt Grieve said yesterday.

"We'll be looking at recommending him for one, but I would have to run it by the fellow first,” Sgt Grieve said.

"I'll be in touch with him to see how he feels about it,” he said.
