Bail on attempted murder charge
A GLANMIRE St resident who was stabbed multiple times with a knife was discharged from hospital yesterday.
The man, 50, was allegedly stabbed by his defacto partner after a verbal argument escalated into violence at the man’s home about 11.30pm last Thursday.
Hazel Marie Chilly, 35, has been charged with attempted murder and appeared in a closed Maroochydore Magistrates Court session on Saturday.
In court the Gympie woman was released on bail but has been ordered to appear in Gympie Magistrates Court on July 6.
The man received serious stab wounds to his neck and head and was rushed to Gympie Hospital after an ambulance was called from his residence.
