Bag Meen and green

DO YOU want to help save the planet with flair and style?

Meen Bags are environmentally friendly bags that come in a range of styles, from shopping bags to backpacks, nappy bags to beach and book bags.

Whatever you need a bag for, Meen Bags in Condies Arcade will either have it or will make it to your desired shape and size.

The mix of bright colours, cotton and cotton-blend fabrics and fully lined, washable shopping bags is a hit with the eco-conscious shopper.

Customers have said they enjoy having a strong and washable bag to hold their shopping.

And they especially liked that the bags folded down small enough to fit several in their handbags.

Since the cute little shop opened its doors to the public, mum-and-daughter team Irene Perry and Kaylene Pettit have expanded the range to more than 500 bags, including foldable shoppers, duffel bags, nappy/baby bags, overnighters, backpacks, satchels, totes, kids' library bags, children's bags, kids' chair bags and beach bags.

"Each Meen Bag is an individual choice and each one says something about who you are," Kaylene said.

"So the mix of bright colours and prints is a big hit. Not to mention the use of strong cotton or cotton-blend fabrics makes the Meen Bag tough and durable when it comes to the cotton-calico lining."

With prices ranging from just $7 to $9 for foldable shoppers, $10 to $20 for lightweight satchels and totes, and $25 to $35 for duffels and large bags, Meen Bags are affordable and durable.

Meen Bags is also home to Black Winter, a one-off, single-item clothing range, as well as screen-printed T-shirts.

Gift baskets and a range of one-off hand-knitted garments and accessories are also available.

Stop in at Shop 4, Condies Arcade (between Mary and Nash Sts, Gympie) or go online and check out www.MeenBags.com or the eBay store.
