Author to drop in to Gympie Library

LOCAL author Coralie H Clune will launch her newly released book And Time Stood Still at Gympie Library on Tuesday.

Superbly researched and beautifully told, And Time Stood Still is a story of life and love in a Russian aristocratic family in the year 1856.

The Crimean War is just over and the Russian people are attempting to recover from the great losses many of them have suffered.

The Grand Duke Nikolaevich is determined to orchestrate his family's lives so that they live according to his wishes, but several of them have other ideas.

Against the background of this turbulent yet romantic era of European history, Coralie Clune has woven a story with characters that ring true in every detail of speech and manner, with settings that convey the splendor of life in Russian aristocratic circles.

Don't miss the chance to meet an author who really knows how to bring history and its characters to life.

Enjoy light refreshments in the library foyer afterwards.
