Attempted murder case back in court after jury discharged
THE aborted trial of a Urangan man accused of trying to murder his two flatmates will return next month.
A trial began on Monday after Eric Roger Frederick Heuer pleaded not guilty in the Brisbane Supreme Court to the offences.
But the jury was discharged on Wednesday after a juror formed an opinion about the case before hearing all the evidence.
The trial will be heard again on February 20 which means the alleged victims Robin Neville Drury, 23, and Rodney Michael Pettitt, 20, will have to testify again.
Heuer is accused of stabbing Mr Drury 13 to 15 times and stabbing Mr Pettitt twice on November 18, 2008.
