Allan on track to win title

UP AND coming enduro sensation Peter-Daniel Allan has returned from Round 5 and 6 of the Australian Off-Road Championship with two second placings.

The St Patrick's College student travelled to Coonabarabran in New South Wales last weekend for the event.

His father Peter Allan said Peter-Daniel raced strongly over the two days.

"The event consisted of sand and bulldust tracks, no extreme tests, just lots of dust," Peter said.

Motorcycling Australia didn't run the event and it was left to motorcycling NSW to control the event.

Peter said for some reason, Peter-Daniel had to start from 11th position on Saturday and fifth on Sunday.

"He had to make his way through the field," Peter said.

"It was very frustrating and dangerous.

"PD took it in his stride and pushed through hard on both days and finished second on Saturday and Sunday," he said.

Peter-Daniel has now finished first in Rounds 1, 2, 3 and 4 and second in rounds 5 and 6.
