Air raid siren will ring for Q150
SOUTH Burnett will celebrate its rich military history today when an original air raid siren shatters the afternoon peace.
During World War II, Kingaroy was a training centre for the army and air force.
The city's original air raid siren has been restored and raised again as part of Q150 celebrations.
Russell Cook from the Burnett War Memorial Museum says residents have been given plenty of notice about today's sounding of the siren, which will be the finale to a day of community celebrations.
