Miva QWCA doing their bit

A FULL complement of members turned up for Miva QCWA’s February meeting where the ladies were happy to catch up with each other after the holiday break.

The grounds at the rest rooms are looking particularly good after the welcome rain and members were pleased to make a donation of money to the Community Bus.

Jenece Drake displayed her environmentally friendly cleaning products at the meeting before joining members for lunch.

International officer Jan Martin and Katrina van den Brenk attended the international weekend in Brisbane in January.

As Ireland is the country of study this year, there were lots of orange and green costumes. The ladies gained much knowledge from the various guest speakers and artists.

Miva CWA members and helpers took part in Clean Up Australia Day on Sunday, doing their bit to keep the roads in the area free of rubbish.

The branch welcomes new members. Inquiries Stephanie Mitchell 5482 4026 or Ina Grehan 5484 6967.
