A fresh start for our angelic singer Sally

SALLY Skelton returned to The Voice stage seeking redemption, and she got it.

The Maroochydore singer had her pick of the reality singing show's four superstar coaches last night, after turning all four chairs with her angelic rendition of Selena Gomez's Wolves.

"I got a bit thrown off vocally when they all turned, but I'm stoked with how it all went down," she said.

"I wanted to come back and show something a bit different than what the coaches had seen before.

"I'm still the same Sally but my music and attitude towards music is a bit different this year. I haven't changed my personality at all, but the songs I'm willing to try aren't confined within a genre."

Sally's former mentor Kelly Rowland lobbied hard to secure her again this year, but was left "stinging" when the 19-year-old decided to start fresh with new coach Joe Jonas.

"Before he started making his case, I was thinking of going with Delta (Goodrem) or Kelly. Kelly has that familiarity; I spent a lot of time with her last year," she said.

"Delta also made some amazing comments, but then Joe started speaking. I'm coming back with a new attitude with what I want out of music and this experience, so I thought it makes sense to start fresh with a clean slate. This is his first year in the competition, so he wasn't a part of what happened last year."

The Voice continues on Sunday at 7pm on Channel 9.
