Wilsonton newsagent sells $500,000 lotto winner

NEXTRA Wilsonton News owners Ed and Christine Grace have made one of their customers half-a-million dollars richer by selling them a division one winner in Saturday's Gold Lotto draw.

Mr Grace said the $516,449.07 winner was the tenth division one prize he had sold since buying the store nearly 15 years ago.

"It's very exciting," Mr Grace said.

"It is what you aim to do."

He said he didn't know who had won the prize.

"Some people come in and tell you that they have won.

"Others you don't know."

A Golden Casket spokeswoman said the winner was a Toowoomba man who had been playing the winning numbers for more than 20 years.

She said the winner wanted to remain anonymous.

Mr Grace said he was looking forward to Thursday night's $30 million Powerball draw.

"We'll be anxious to sell another winner."
