Little Devils take to Suncorp Stadium

THE 10 players from the under-7 Gympie Devils team took to the field at Suncorp Stadium last Friday night as a part of the Slater and Gordon Broncos Mini-League.

The Devils along with three other teams from around Queensland stepped on to the field prior to the Brisbane Broncos and Newcastle Knights match where the Broncos won 44-22.

Gympie Devils mini-mods co-ordinator Bec Kruss said the boys ran out of the tunnel onto the field where they played a 15-20 minute match against Maryborough.

She said although the scores were not recorded the Gympie boys scored a try.

Kruss said she has received all good reports from the players and parents who tagged along for the evening.

Slater and Gordon general manager Karen Simpson said the firm wanted to help the Broncos to continue inspiring young rugby league players and share an once-in-a-lifetime experience with the kids.
