100 years at Gympie South

GYMPIE South State School’s centenary committee is finalising details for its 100th birthday celebrations on July 17.

One detail is ensuring that Reg Lewis is the oldest former student who attended Gympie South State School.

The Year 4 students at Gympie South had the pleasure of meeting and interviewing Reg, and listening to his tales of school days past.

This interview will form part of the historical display shown on the day.

For celebratory reasons, the committee needs to ensure that Reg is, indeed, the oldest student from Gympie South, and would appreciate community assistance in making sure this information is correct.

This information will also assist with the centenary magazine, which is currently sourcing page sponsorship from past and present staff and families.

If you would like to sponsor a page in the magazine for $30, contact Gympie South on 5483 0444.
