YOUNG people with a passion for their community are being urged to get among it at the 16th annual YMCA Queensland Youth Parliament.
Gympie's young adults aged between 15 and 25 are encouraged to put up their hands before nominations close on February 24.
As a youth member, they'll get an inside look at what it's like to be a parliamentarian - from learning about parliamentary rules to developing bills, they'll debate the issues affecting young people in Queensland.
The program will run from April to September.
Ninety-three young people will be selected to represent the 89 state electorates and four positions for indigenous electorates.
