REMEMBER back to a time where things were simpler?
People made their own butter from milk that was straight from the cow, everything was fresh and people rode to town in a horse-drawn carriage.
Old traditions like these were celebrated at the weekend when months of planning by Darryl Lee came together for The Lost Arts day at Wallu.
The heavy horse field day had working displays with about 74 moving exhibits.
About 3000 people came to the Wallu event, which made about $40,000.
It was the second Lost Arts day Mr Lee had organised to raise money for Angel Flight. He said there was some rain on Saturday and Sunday but it didn't deter visitors.
“There were a lot of supporters, it was quite good,” Mr Lee said.
During the weekend people indulged in about $3000 worth of beer, $8000 worth of burgers and spent $14,000 at an auction. People came from as far as Bundaberg, the Gold Coast and Melbourne and about half the people who visited, chose to camp onsite.
With about 150 market stalls, displays including blacksmithing and horses being used to plough fields and three spit roast pigs, Mr Lee said it was a really good weekend.
