Touch season ends on high

THE Gympie Touch Association applied the final touches on another outstanding season last Friday evening with its season ending presentations.

Various awards were handed out to the winning teams across the various grades of play, together with a series of individual awards highlighting individual achievements.

Gympie Touch Association president Ian Sami said the season and presentations were a total success.

“It's been another good season for touch football in Gympie,” he said.

“We had great numbers across the many events and we are now looking forward to the next season.”

The new season will commence on July 13 for mixed touch and July 22 for the men's and ladies' competition.

Originally set for July 15, the men's and ladies' starting date was revised after clashing with the third State of Origin clash.

Nomination forms can be obtained from Gympie Sheet Metal.
