KURTZ Transport, a regional trucking company, was placed into voluntary administration earlier this month.
Administrators from Ernst & Young were appointed to manage the company on September 12, with Justin Walsh and Duncan Clubb acting as joint administrators of Kurtz Transport Pty Ltd and Kurtz Holdings Pty Ltd.
Mr Walsh told the Courier Mail it was a "well established" and "well run" company that was hurt badly by a downturn in resources which has plagued the state.
"The company services the resources industry - mining, oil and gas - and there has been a slowdown in both of those sectors," he said.
The company has freight offices in Dalby, Chinchilla, Wandoan, Rockhampton, Toowoomba, Bundaberg and Roma.
The privately-owned company has been delivering since 1922, according to its website and carries parcels, construction and mine site supplies and more. Sale offers closed at 4pm yesterday.
