A MOTORIST is dead following an accident on the Bruce Hwy between the Pomona exit and Black Mountain.

A car and truck collided nose-to-tail in wet conditions at about 5.30pm.

The truck driver is being treated at the scene for shock.

Both lanes of the highway are closed and delays are expected.

The Department of Transport and Main Roads is asking motorists to proceed with caution.
