A MARYBOROUGH State High School couple made a unique entrance at their formal on Friday night by arriving on the back of a camel.

Hundreds of onlookers watched the camel join the line of cars to deliver the couple to the red carpet at the entrance of the Brolga Theatre.

Resembling an Arabian princess, student Avena Osborn said she wanted to do something really different.

She sat on the camel in front of her partner Eddie Gilson.

The unusual arrival went off without a hitch.
