Miracle Mum in long march home
GYMPIE miracle mum and Guillain-Barre survivor Amanda LePeilbet will share her one-in-a-million journey next month at a long lunch at the Gunabul Homestead.
The lunch is to raise money to help modify her house so she can leave hospital on the Sunshine Coast and return home for good.
The long lunch is part of the Bring Amanda and Cloe Home Appeal and will take place from 11.30am on Friday, May 4.
Amanda and Cloe, who was born in December when Amanda was almost completely paralysed by the disorder and who only knows a hospital room as home, will both attend the lunch, which is being co-ordinated by Amanda's friends and supporters.
A number of "fabulous items" will also be auctioned during the event, which will feature the story of Amanda's incredible journey accompanied by a slide show and a two-course luncheon.
The Gympie South Lions Club has added its muscle power to the campaign and will spend this weekend installing a ramp and doing the gardens at Amanda and Ered's Gympie home.
A large raffle is also being organised to raise money.
Bookings for the long lunch can be made by phoning 5482 3107 or emailing info@zesty edibles.com.au.
