Minogue sees X Factor in Caitlyn

SHE lit up Australian screens on Young Talent Time and went on to stamp her authority as the best performing artist on the UK Upfront Club Chart.

Now, Dannii Minogue is nurturing the next generation of talent on Australia's X Factor and reckons she sees something special in Gympie's Caitlyn Shadbolt (right).

Caitlyn, 18, auditions on X Factor next Tuesday night and Minogue gave The Gympie Times' readers a glimpse of her thoughts on the young starlet in an interview last week.

"We have a little country singer who is super cute," Minogue said. "She's a really good singer.

"It would be amazing if we could find an artist who had all that backing from the country music scene but was crossing over to the ARIA pop charts.

"She's definitely a stand-out for me, thinking back over all the auditions."

Tune in to X Factor on Channel 7 on Tuesday at 7.30pm to see Caitlyn.
