LIVE@thechapel kicks off for the year this Sunday with home-grown singer-songwriter and guitarist Andrew Weller performing some of his own songs.

Andrew, who performs regularly in and around venues in Gympie, organised a great line-up of local artists and bands at last year's Movember fundraising event at the Freemasons Hotel.

The Gympie Zion Lutheran Church venue for the bi-monthly music event is one that is very familiar to Andrew as he regularly attended the church in his youth.

Andrew has also helped other guest artists at past live@thechapel events with the generous loan of his sound gear.

While the majority of Andrew's set will feature well-chosen covers, he will also perform a few of his own original numbers.

One of these, I'll Follow, was a song he submitted as a film clip to the 2012 Catapult Song Contest - a contest that searches for Australia's favourite original unsigned song.

I'll Follow is posted, along with others, at Andrew's YouTube channel.

Live@thechapel is a free event, but there will be an opportunity to donate towards the Lutheran Church of Australia's Queensland District Flood Appeal with the proviso that these donations be channelled to Bundaberg.

Sunday's live@thechapel gets underway at the Gympie Lutheran Church (opposite Gympie Custom Framing - 16 Nash St) at 6.30pm. Supper will be served after the concert.
