Gympie candidates forums
GYMPIE residents have the opportunity to hear council aspirants at meet the candidates evenings next week.
The forum will be conducted by the Gympie Chamber of Commerce in the Civic Centre on Monday and Tuesday evenings from 5.30pm to 7pm.
On Monday evening the four mayoral candidates and those seeking a position as the Division 4 councillor will address the gathering.
On Tuesday council aspirants for Divisions 2, 3, 5 and 7 will have the I opportunity to put their platforms forward/.
The mayoral candidates will each be allowed three minutes to address the gathering while those seeking a councillor spot have been allocated 2.5 minutes to speak.
Questions to the candidates will be taken from the floor at both forums and the evenings will be chaired by Kerren Smith.
