Fire crews battle bush blaze at Goomboorian

FIREFIGHTERS are battling to bring a bushfire under control at Goomboorian this afternoon with several crews at the scene on Mullins Creek Rd.

The fire was mostly burning in inaccessible land and there was no immediate threat to properties.

The blaze has caused a smoky haze and residents in the area are advised to keep doors and windows closed.

The fire is expected to burn for 24-hours and motorists are urged to drive with caution, especially on Mullins Creek and Buchanan Rds.
