Family’s appeal for Jiah

THE family of a young Glenwood father, missing for more than a week, has pleaded with the public to help find him.

Jiah McGregor, 26, was last seen at the Inskip Point camping grounds near Rainbow Beach on Sunday, September 28.

An online article appealing for information about Mr McGregor's disappearance was shared on social media by his mother Erica, who wrote "We just want to find him. Please I'm begging anyone ... please help us we need answers".

The Gympie Times understands Mr McGregor has a wife and four children.

His brother Beau also took to social media to call on anyone with information to come forward.

"We just want to make sure he is safe," he said

"The heartache of not knowing is doing mine and my families (sic) head."

Family and friends were quick to show their support to Mr McGregor's family, with dozens sharing the post and passing on well wishes throughout yesterday.

Kara Guiney described the news as "shocking", while Samantha Burns said "fingers crossed for his return".

A Queensland Police spokesman confirmed last night that there was no update on Mr McGregor's whereabouts and he was still listed as "missing".

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 180cm tall with blue eyes and dark brown hair.
