SUNSHINE, great wine, food and music were the order of the day at the recent fundraiser for celebrity chef Matt Golinski who lost his wife and three daughters in a home fire on Boxing Day 2011.

Dingo Creek Winery at Traveston was the venue with many local businesses getting behind this great cause with donations for the rolling raffles.

A total of $6207 was raised as the community of the Sunshine Coast, Gympie and Brisbane gathered to show their support for Matt.

Spokeswoman for the organising committee Marg Gillespie said it was a true community event with businesses and guests digging deep.

Marg wants to thank everyone involved in putting on the day and helping to make it such a success.

"Chefs Dale Chapman and Jodie Williams, along with the wonderful volunteers, served a gourmet lunch featuring free-range local produce including hams, smoked chicken, Cooloola cheeses and olives etc... to a very grateful crowd," Mrs Gillespie said.

"Matt has been released from hospital and we all wish him the best with his recovery."
