Confusion over Watt relationship
IAIN and Jan Watt are married, but not to each other.
After many phone calls and questions about their relationship, both Iain and Jan have felt compelled to say on the record that they are not together or related in any way.
They both live at Imbil and like horses but that is about as far as the relationship goes.
Iain Watt is currently running for council and Gympie Councillor Jan Watt will be stepping down when the new council is formed.
Cr Watt said there had been a lot of people talking about their marital status.
"People are presuming and saying 'your husband is running for council'. But we're not related," she said.
Meanwhile Iain Watt said a "little bit of clarification" was needed.
He lives around the corner from Jan and her husband Keith with his wife Linda.
