 A tourist fast boat, Gili Cat 2, exploded after departing from Padang Bai port heading for the nearby holiday island of Gili Trawangan. According to authorities, one tourist was killed and at least 20 foreigners were injured in the incident.

All 35 passengers on board were foreigners.
