In some circumstances there may be rules about the proper music to be played at the funeral of a loved one, but whatever seems appropriate, or significant, is proper. If a song is special and has meaning – it should be played.
If there are special things that have meaning to your loved one, have them at the service: sporting medals, a cricket bat, a favourite hat, pictures of life events, mementos of an occupation. These are the things that help make a funeral meaningful.
